Binh Nguyen 

Research Technologist 

Binh is a research technologist helping with maintenance of the lab and assisting lab members on projects, though one could say that her main job is to prevent the lab from burning down amidst the frenzy. Binh obtained a BA in Mathematics and minor in Biology from Hamilton College (NY), and an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. Among her coursework at Hopkins, she found cancer immunotherapy and CRISPR-Cas gene editing techniques particularly intriguing, the latter of which prompted her to join the lab to learn more about the basic science behind it. When not trying to perfect her pipetting and streaking techniques, Binh can be found shopping for food, cooking food, eating food, looking up food recipes, watching food TV shows, or otherwise thinking about food.
